You’re given a plot of land and have the financial resources to do what you please. What’s the plan?
I already know!… I have saved two sets of house plans… yellow from me keeping them and looking at them over the years…
One from a page out of a Southern Living Magazine … dated 2002…
Let’s see… 11 years old… house plans (click to open)
The other is from a page out of Home & Garden Magazine… 2009… 4 years ago…
The first is the house I dream about… sitting on a lake somewhere… It’s called “Fox River”…
Simple house plan…and would fit us just perfect!…
Only 1,122 square feet
2 bedrooms
2 baths
9 foot first floor ceilings…
second floor 8 foot ceilings…
It has an additional 300 sq. ft. of living space…
It says for a weekend get-away… No!… I want to live there year round!…
It has a stacked stone chimney…
rustic cedar board-and-batten exterior and a tin roof…
cathedral ceiling in living room …
spacious open kitchen, dining room and living room…
master bedroom downstairs…
bathroom and washer/dryer area on main floor…
Upstairs is a loft bedroom which has it’s own bath…
Porch across the front…
Surrounded by tall trees, flowers , a swing and rocking chairs on the front porch… looking over that lake I mentioned…
When can I start???
The second choice I like is called “Holly Grove”… house plans 2 (click to open)
This is a one story plan…
1,269 sq. ft.
2 bedrooms
2 baths
10 ft. ceiling heights
a tin roof
Also a big front porch…with wide steps in front… ceiling fans cooling the porch on hot summer days…
mud room in back with back porch across half the house…
Yes…there will be trees, flowers, pretty walkways… a stone or brick chimney for the fireplace in the living room…
so yes!…give me that plot of land and the resources…
