“Her Perspective”…

From her perspective she could see just a glint of his form…

She didn’t want to let him see her staring…

But, he had caught her attention…

Even through the rain the other day… he was just so striking…

Feeling lazy… looking at the trees rustling their leaves… the people walking and talking along the path that wound around the park…

She came often for leisurely walks…

He always seemed to have such a somber look…

Wondering … only made her want to see him even more…

There seemed to be almost a static sense of electricity that ran within her… How could she feel this way? …

She reached for the trinket that was attached to the necklace she wore all of the time…

He had given it to her just a few years ago… with promises of returning unharmed to her…

A heart with three words… “I’ll be back”…

But, no… that was not to be…

She sat up from her light sleepiness… the sun warming her…

and concentrated on where she was…

No, they would never meet… and he would never return…

That’s what they had told her that day…

But, just to catch a glimpse of him would be so wonderful…
