A Day and a Night!

A day and a night was all it was!… but,

it rested me!…

gave me time alone with my husband…

saw new things…

listened / talked to different people…

saw beautiful Fall Scenery…

sometimes was just quiet… how neat is that!…

ate a meal out…

but, I have to say… it made me want more days/nights like this!…

I love these times!…

and I’m jealous of those who can go anytime they want!…

I might as well be honest!…

Yes, I know I should be thankful for these moments I get!… and YES!… I am…

Maybe that’s why I enjoy these times so much!… and maybe I wouldn’t if I could do it anytime I wanted…

Thought to ponder!

Rained on our way to French Lick, Indiana…

Although it was gloomy looking… across Patoka Lake… I was still enjoying the drive!

This was our destination…

View from our 5th floor room… the sun did appear later!…

The gardens below our room…

The “veranda” across the front of the hotel…

Sounds so much better than “porch”… ha, ha!

After being in the Casino…

we walked down to the indoor pool… and sat and watched the people…

It’s a large structure of yellow brick dated back to the 1930’s…

The architecture is fantastic!…

  1. You are so lucky to be able to get away with your husband by yourselves. When I first moved out here I used to take trips with my friend George until the Army sent him to Georgia.
