Sadness at the End of 2014…

I have read many well wishes for the coming year… ks13093

I have no crystal ball to foretell the future k0980881

So I will have to take each day of 2015 as it comes...

No matter how you plan... what you dream... prepare for… c0032965

The days have a way of making their own agenda for you…

We had some very sad news as we were preparing to go out for the evening last night…

A sweet niece had passed… the age of my own children…

My oldest brother’s youngest daughter…

It was an accident from what I hear at their home…

She lived with my brother (her Dad) and had actually been a caretaker for both her ailing Mother who had passed a few years ago… and now for her 84-year-old Dad…

A wonderful Aunt to her nieces and nephews… always telling stories about them…k21616042

She had a sweet disposition whenever we were around and treated us as special company…

She was such an important ingredient to her immediate family and extended as well…

So… the New Year will begin with some sadness in our family with her loss being prominent in our minds…

We will continue to pray for our loss… k19263606

I think we sometimes forget in praying for other’s loss… to pray for ourselves with the loss affecting us too…

We are a strong family k21918922… having seen death… sickness… sadness… misfortune…

But, we also have gained much strength in these happenings of life…

Making us stronger… wiser... showing us what true joy… happiness and wisdom is…

We are learning to try to enjoy each moment given us… k21814280

Looking forward to a new slate to write our history on…

A new year to make moments count…

A time to try to achieve our goals…

and yes… we all have goals… no matter the age… k19602804

So… embrace this New Year with a promise given to us from God…

Love one another as we love ourselves…

Love deep… with all of our heart…

Share what God has given us…

and this year will be filled with more Peacek19854341 , Hope k20016368 and Joy! k19596231

  1. You are definitely right. We can make all the resolutions we want but life can throw many curve balls as it did in yours this holiday. I am so sorry for your loss. God bless
