Betty is my inspiration for today’s post…
She attends the Adult Day Program at the YMCA…
“Betty” by: Marilyn Griffin
The smile on her face…
tells it all.
She exudes grace…
a task not small.
……………
Her days are shorter…
but, living them full.
Another chapter…
Never dull.
……………
A heart of Gold…
Sweetness inside…
She’s getting old…
but, filled with Pride!
……………
She’s our Princess…
for the day.
Right now ageless…
as sun’s ray!
thank you for the smile you brought into my face, Marilyn, with your article, nice crown she has in her wheelchair! For sure, it’s important to smile at least once a day, greetings from

we had gone to see the KY Derby Floats here in Louisville, KY….
that smile on her face makes me smile and the pride in your words warms my heart
A big helping of something truly special…Such a special gift.
My seniors at the YMCA have given me such good memories!
What a perfect smile!
Great photograph. I loved the poem too. It took me back to when I taught crafts to seniors. One of the most blessed times of my life.
she is a dear!…
