Resilience and Acceptance…

Resilience… Resilient…

able to become strong, healthy, or successful again after something bad happens…

This word has been pressed on me lately…

so this will be my new word for the Year 2016…

A tough year has passed…

hopefully a time for renewal of body and soul…

I looked at the word “acceptance”…

the act of accepting something or someone…

to receive willingly…

Having a hard time with this…

It seems an “act of giving up”… to me…

Of caving to pressure from circumstances…

but…

Then I hear…

that quiet voice inside me…

“It’s just “change”… a time for better things to happen…

a time for old ways to die away… letting newness reveal itself…

A time for us to absorb the quiet again…

the peace again…

the love again…

that had been squelched amid turmoil…

SO…

I will be Resilient…

I will cope… and finally accept these changes in our lives…

and with all of my heart… and God’s help…

Be Resilient!

  1. Besides getting older, one of the hardest things to do is accept nothing seems to be routine anymore, especially when illness enters our lives and others. The fact that you recognize and accept, you are going to be lifted by God daily and you will be fine. Hugs and Merry Christmas to all of you

  2. It’s been a hard year. God molds us in the hard places. This process of becoming more like Christ is often painful, but it is necessary if we are to be women God can use. Christmas blessings to you, Marilyn. Your voice is offering hope to others through your blog.
