Bus Trip

We went up to Cincinnati, Ohio yesterday…

on a chartered bus… k13610170

Went with family and friends… total of 7…

We met at a hotel nearby to ride the bus…

The hotel offered us breakfast just as if we were guests…

Nice gesture!…

The bus stops at several points along the route and then proceeds to the destination…

We went to Belterra Park… for a wonderful buffet lunch and then to play slots on the casino floor…

Cost was only $30.00… which included bus, food, and new people (us)… $20.00 to play with… Actually trip was FREE!…

A pretty place…

and most friendly…

In warmer weather there is also horse racing…

As you cross the Ohio River into Cincinnati the Park sits near Coney Islandbanner_int_default …an Amusement/Water Park…

It snowed all of the way there… but, just a thick blowing snow… that didn’t stick on the highway…

It changed to rain as we left later that afternoon…

I have to admit… the bus ride made me a little queasy… in the stomach…k11078832

but, able to enjoy it despite…

I will ask for the window seat next time…

and a little bouncy didn’t help…

The buffet as I said was really good… Food was American, Oriental, Greek, Italian…

with a fresh salad bar of greens, veggies, antipasto, fruit and dressings

Whatever you could want…

The dessert buffet was wonderful too…

Chocolates, fruits, creamy desserts of all kinds but, the Gelato (lemon flavored is what I chose)…was exceptional…

I was told it was made by them with ingredients from Italy…

YUMMY!…

We played… and met back up to leave for Louisville around 3;30pm…

and as I guessed… the queasiness began again… k11078832

Something I now know if I take another jaunt of this kind…

It was great being with my nephew, sister, sister-in-law, Bobby and a friend and her sister…

Such nice folks!…

We plan on a warmer day in the spring when the horses are running… racing

I’ll be ready!
