Peter’s Pancakes- Mingus Mill

My brother had recommended “Peter’s Pancakes” by the authority of his Grandkids…

We found it on our way to Gatlinburg…

right down the road from where we were staying in Cherokee…

We sat right beside the creek…

Menu was on the placements at each table…

The breakfast held up to it’s advertisement as “BEST BREAKFAST IN TOWN”…

Fluffy big pancakes with either blueberry, maple or honey syrups…

but, served so much more…

I heard raves about biscuits/gravy!

Good coffee in mugs with their logo on them…

I liked this Funky Rooster painting on the wall behind us…

As we left and headed out of Cherokee… I had seen a sigh… “Mingus Mill”…

we turned and not too far down we found it…

Just a short walk across the bridge over the running creek… a path meandering up to the mill…

Two story Mingus Mill…

used to ground corn meal… which was sold in the mill…

A nice peaceful walk… and a little bit of history of the area…

“I like that!”…
