Easter… TREATS for my LOVES!

I had decided on mini desserts when asked to bring dessert for Easter Dinner

Dark Chocolate Fudge mini cupcakes… SPRING Funfetti mini cupcakes and mini cheesecakes…

I had bought this Spring Flower Tiered Cake Stand for 50 cents during one of my Thrift Shopping days…

and it worked perfect for what I had in mind…

Kennedy (youngest Granddaughter) placed desserts on it when I arrived at their house…

I was also asked to bring Deviled Eggs…

and don’t mind since I learned how peel boiled eggs with a teaspoon…

I cut eggs in half lengthwise…

Mix egg yolks with mayo, mustard, sweet relish and a bit of grated onion

Place in a plastic bag … cut small opening… and squeeze into white of egg…

a sprinkle of Paprika and they are done…

Although I added a few Easter picks to desserts and eggs to make for a more festive look…

and the last of my contributions was Sister Schubert’s Parker House Rolls that are Kennedy’s favorite!

Melanie and Pam had made:

Baked Ham

Potato Salad

Broccoli Salad

Baked Beans

another kind of roll

Marshmallow Fluff Salad…

WONDERFUL!

I always color a few eggs…

More for me than anyone else…

aklthough the guys do like me to do it…

I had purchased 3 coloring kits… for 25 cents each on one of my hunts…

Decided to make the 24k Gold ones…

Eggs boiled… cooled… and dried…

until Bobby (husband) comes in the house and grabs the towel I had wrapped eggs in to dry… off of the table…

and the eggs flew

hit the floor and cracked…

My mouth flew open…

and I have to admit I was peeved!…

but, knowing he couldn’t have known…

my thoughts ran to making deviled eggs first since they were just cracked a little (ALL OF THEM!)…

and make more for coloring later…

The gold is sponged on after the eggsare dyed bright colors…

quite pretty!

These are “my loves” I make things for …

and this year it was Easter Baskets

YES!…

I got them at the end of season last year for little or nothing…

with them in mind…

Pink for Kennedy… Blue for the boy (Carson)… and Yellow for Taylor

Carson was excited to find a little money in the two larger eggs… as well as the girls…

This is what makes me smile… thinking of them as I cook and make treats …

A Good Easter!
