I Did It!… and You Probably Never Noticed!

I had to do it!…

I had over 400 of them… just sitting there in front of me…

Every time I opened up my email… they sat there overwhelming me

How did this happen???

I can only imagine it was when my computer was down k8394947 for a week…

But, as hard as I tried the number would just keep growing… So, since I’ve been up since 5:30am… I decided to take the big leapsca0372

Sorry to say… I hit the delete button on about 380 emails…

My reasoning being… I would just have to start over

Reading updated mail from all my friends… and quit crying (contemplating) over spilt milk COW_21C… The spilt milk being old news k6302606 … old blogs… and all of the prompts I’ll never be able to write…

I am beginning fresh!…

and hope to never again get behind like I did…

I’m sure you never noticed that I had not made a commentk1490127 k4693899 … had not hit that “like” buttonk11941337

but, being a loyal follower of my Blog Friendsk11940123… I had been slowly getting myself in a frenzy k12241691 trying to read and answer

The “Friendship” Thing!

We arrived home yesterday…from vacation …a 12 hour drive…from Panama City, FL   to Louisville, KY …Our children were there + some of their friends …which I have known for quite awhile…One of the guys we’ve known since my son and him were in Youth League Football  together… I loved hearing them reminisce…the “old days”…Sounds funny to me …because to me they’re the little boys I saw in years past… Listening to them …was such a treat!…it showed me how friendships can be so lasting…the respect they have for each other…the love! …They said, “We can and would turn to each other for anything!…trusting each other to make the right judgement in any situation”…Isn’t that wonderful!…I see my son and his friends have matured…some with children of their own.. like my son… He has 3… A 16-year-old daughter, a 9-year-old daughter and his son who is 6… Another young man has taken the role as a step-father to 3 girls…one, a 17-year-old girl who was accompanying them…the others are on their own…seems to be a good relationship…with a sweet wife … Another young man has remained single… very good job, polite, nice looking, good morals…Hope he meets that perfect someone one day…they will be blessed to have him…I guess that’s another thing I see…These guys…are what I call “good” people…There are 3 others that are attached to this little group …all feel the same way about each other and no doubt I would have heard the same words if they had been with us…While on vacation, my husband and I were treated with such kindness and respect…”pampered” you could say!…We were waited on, had things carried for us, food/drinks brought to us , chairs given up for us, doors opened for us… Just so sweet!… As my husband and I drove home …we didn’t talk a lot… both lost in our own thoughts of the past weeks activities… nothing new to us…we know what each other are thinking most of the time any way…We’ve been together for 43 years come February…You know…it’s that “friendship” thing

“My Kids!”…

It was always fun to watch our Special Kids …and how friendships emerged in our small group…There are always the popular kids …Josh, who had very long braids  …called a girl many times…He was street smart…sweet…kind…and knew everyone in schoolvery friendly…Christian, good-looking kid …sweet…somewhat bashful…but, also popular…Stevie, a talker …busy doing things …a tale to tell all the timealso popular…Austin, a talker…Tall-tale teller…liked the girls smart…These boys slowly became friends in less than a year…one minute “thick as thieves” …as they say…the next minute, mad at each other…always over a simple thing…a silly thing…and as friends…got over it within hours…As friends go…they were pretty tight …Always saving seatseating lunch together …whispering secrets just for their ears to hear …and as friends do…getting in trouble with each other…Some saw the other ones outside of school…some didn’t…some called and talked on the phone …some didn’t…They even dressed alike at times…picking the favorite thing about each other to copy …and, at school…they were inseparable…They had the “friendship” thing going … How neat!
