Hodge-Podge Today!

I am still going through old photos that I have accumulated over the years…

I wanted to put in albums…

I am through with one…

working on another…

when I saw that I had two albums that I could use without buying anymore…

I liked the cover of one…

but, the other although sturdy and lots of pageswas a mess!…

an old brown… worn out cover…

so…

I thought I would try covering it…

Now this was my first of doing this… but, I do crafting and such…

so I felt I could give it a good try…

I purchased a cute print of material from Wal-Mart’s remnant bin… only $1.24…

and a roll of black ribbon to decorate with… 98 cents…

I had a glue gun, some decorative tape and a book of pretty papers already!

Layed scrapbook opened on the material and cut to size…

Enough edge left to bring around and glue down with a small folded edge…

Glued ribbon to cover edges… and then put craft paper that had similar colors inside to cover the “ugly” …

Added the clear photo pages that were already in the book…

I liked the way it turned out…

and I think the black ribbon and  bow finished it well…

NOW…

to fill it up!

My husband and I were out late from a ride over to French Lick, Indiana…

We pass by Krispy Kreme Doughnuts on way home…

and knew they would have “HOT” ones…

Oh, so good …

8 glazed… 2 lemon filled… and 2 raspberry jelly filled…

My favorites and his!

The girl handed me a hot glazed for a sample…

No need…  I know how good they are!…

but, certainly didn’t turn it down!

Cold milk finished our treat!…

I found these cute bunny candles in my “stash” closet…

just waiting for me to find them and add to centerpiece on table…

Pretty pastels and so adorable!…

Oh!… the color of these fresh oranges…

Makes them so desirable!…

just can’t wait to bite into them…

These were so sweet and juicy…

and I knew if I cut them up… the guys would eat them… like me… and enjoy!…

They were gone by afternoon!…

I think I had 6 boxes of cereal that had just a little left in the bottom,,,

so I dumped it outside near the bird feeder…

and the birds and especially the squirrels enjoyed munching on it…

Forgot to offer them milk!…

3- Accomplishments…

I’m trying to eat more fruit and vegetables…

Tonight was FRUIT night… when shopping for a few items…

This DVD player is what my son found at the thrift store… during our last visit…

It has interchangeable pictures… due to it being a Disney product… Pirates of the Caribbean and Tinker Bell…

It was in excellent condition… working perfectly!

It is made to be played at home or in the car…

Movies on a long trip make the miles fly by… That was the idea!… when he saw it!…

We had to purchase cords for it… but, after checking it’s cost on the internet…

He saved over $35.00… Not bad!…

This is the folding metal chair I painted for a friend…

She had one I had painted several years back… and wanted another …

I found a sturdy one at my thrift store for about $3.00…

Bobby scrubbed and painted it white…

and then I performed my magic… of painting the design on it…

I loved this cute owl design… and had saved it from something I saw over a year ago…

I never know when I will use the ideas I save…

He was so fun to paint!
