Habitual Habits!

I have over 300 emails in my mailboxk1995350

Have you ever heard of such a thing?…

Just because my computer k8394947was down for a week

So… if I answer an old post with a commentk10921636 … forgive me… but, know… that I think all of your writings are so good k1114097… that I’ve saved them… and I’m still reading!

It’s been a pretty hectic week… so I feel quite out of sorts

My routine… which is not as routine as it used to be…

has not been good…

Surgery for my daughter-in-law… sfo0844thankfully she’s fine

Had my Grandkids more than usual… picking them up from school… u11148993

Not a problem at all… I love them so and we have such fun…

But, I am tired…k0042854

Trying to get back in my “routine” of water aerobics x10784073… Seems to have been hit and miss… since my YMCA partner’s son has had heart surgeryk5370502 …

The water makes me feel so much better physically and mentally…

I’m not complaining… but, I see that even when you retire… you get in a routine of sorts… and I have grown to love my habitual habits… moving at a slower pacek10234861 … doing what I want…

when I want…

how I want…

where I want…

Come back routine!kch0139

My Sister…the “Bionic” Woman!

Gift…

My sister has had to have a hip replacement of her joint… I have seen her suffer for about two years … and now after surgery  I’m seeing her suffer with pain again… It’s most disconcerting!… I thought I would read what all this entails… well, it’s a lot!… I kiddingly called her the “bionic” woman … and she just about is!… To replace what was God given with metal (stainless steel), screws, ivory, plastic (polyethylene) and acrylic bone cement … seems impossible… but, is done every day… Hip replacements are done only after physical therapy  and pain medications fail… It is needed due to wear and tear of aging… meaning cartilage covering joint surfaces wears out… Much pain and stiffness causes severe pain… only getting worse until the hip replacement is needed… Women often put off doing the procedure because of having to be out of commission… and having to be taken care of… instead of being the caregiver  … And this is what my sister did… Not feeling she had a choice… The earliest hip replacement dates back to 1891 in Germany… It was made of ivory… (the ball of the femur)… Ivory seems to work well with the tissues of the human body in healing quickly… To see the pictures of what is used and the description of the surgery… would make many reconsider… but, with the pain so severe… the hope of walking, bicycling, climbing steps and just being able to function without pain…  out ways the concerns… So I wish you less pain every day with your recovery my sister… Thank the Lord for your wonderful children and extended family members helping you through this… We all want you better!
