Weekly Photo Challenge: “Green”

My thoughts went first to how many different shades of green there were…

Nature has made an abundance

Jungle The brilliant foliage…tree canopies…leaves…

Laurel Made into a wreath…

Forest The grasses…the leaves… the needle leaves…the bushes

Fern Long leaves of seemingly growing right up from the ground…making lovely hanging pots…

Mantis The little insect with such big eyes hiding on a leaf with his hands raised in praise…

PineThe evergreens… the needle like leaves… staying green all year… our wonderful tree of Christmas…

LimeA tropical fruit used in drinks… cooking… and the scent used in lotions, desserts, candles…

Emerald The beautiful jewel… brightly shining on a ladies finger… a gorgeous necklace…

JadeOriental statues… jewelry… made into unique art pieces…

Just to name a few… Of course the names were given by people but, reflect objects in the natural world…

I would think I would have more “green” in my house… Not so much… but, here’s a few…

Computer Dust Cleaner, My new little Christmas Tree, Green Hurricane Lamp, Green Rocker, Green Rosary Beads given to me by a friend of my Granddaughter, Green Clip holding grass seed to be planted for my cat, Green Plate on shelf in my bathroom, Green Older picture found at the thrift store, Green Angel on wall, Green shelf in bathroom, Green Bird Plaque in bathroom…

As they say…”THINK GREEN!”…

  2. This is a beautiful post and you know, I don’t have pictures of fern. I love them and will make effort to photograph some this season. ;-) TY for the pingback. :-)

  4. I love green! I used to be a blue person, but several years ago I let a little green into my life (home) and it gradually took over and pushed the blue out. Now I have greens, and there’s not turning back. Pretty much taken over my home…shades of green, and colors that go with green are everywhere! ~ Sheila
