I took these photos the other evening… while sitting outside…
The wind was slightly blowing…
the sky was so blue with beautiful white clouds…
I looked around… and thought how happy I was…
with my little home… my yard… my family…
Some would not think it anything…
but, to me it’s my Happy Place for sure!
We all need a place like this…
Hope you have found it!
I lit my lantern where the scent penetrated the air…
I lit these too…
and especially like them (there are two) on each side of my porch…
because I had made them with my Grandson’s help…
The trellis with the bell and bird…
holds a rose-bush given to me by my daughter-in-law…
The Hostas spring forth every year…
A hardy plant… which I like…
pretty much guaranteed to grow…
I need this!
The Vinca among a yellow Mum which is not blooming right now…
is also a “guaranteed to grow” plant…
hanging from a basket on the lamp pole…
that burns at night to greet company…
The sun was setting low… as I photographed my golden Lillies…
They share company with the mailbox…
The little yellow violets stuck in between the stones…
have added a bit of color…
Who hasn’t looked up into the sky to view a little bit of Heaven!,,,
Perfect blue sky due to the cooler temps… with fluffy white clouds…
Wonderful!
Our Glider Swing/ table (there are other chairs)…
is a meeting place for neighbor chit chat…
wouldn’t trade this area!
Our American Flag hangs high all of the time…
but, the 4th of July one is flying to remind us of our freedom…
and to show Pride of this wonderful country we live in…
Independence fought for… and something we should try to preserve!
